I’m sure all of you know by know that it was just Coachella szn. (if its not obvious enough from the million of social posts) I went to Wknd one and it was so much fun!! I am proudly a Coachella veteran since my first Coachella was last year. Coachella is honestly a marathon and it’s SO important to plan for it. I definitely learned a few tips on how to make the experience better. The time and preparation it takes to get ready is really overwhelming, but the buildup definitely adds to the excitement you get when you’re actually at the festival!!
I would totally write a whole post on my overall experience of Coachella, but it would honestly be sooooo long, so I’ll just talk about my outfit for Day 1! Coachella might as well be a fashion show, people are dressed up in their festival gear, girls put together the cutest outfits, and everyone just goes all out! I honestly love it.
Anyways back to talking about my outfit. I was highly inspired by all the sheer pieces trending, including sheer dresses and skirts. I love the idea of wearing pieces that aren’t everyday, so I leaned towards this daring outfit. Keywords that represent me: SLITS AND DEEP V NECKLINES! I looked everywhere online for some sort of sheer maxi skirt, but was having no luck finding one I loved. I ended up fashioning a sheer maxi dress and having it sewn into this skirt. It’s from the Coachella collection from H&M. I’d usually NEVER buy something made for Coachella to the festival, but it ended up being perfect! The fabric has really dainty and cute details throughout including lace and polka dots. I hit up my talented friend/fellow fashionista/awesome designer + sewer Amery (link to her Instagram!) to fashion the dress into this skirt with a high slit. For the bodysuit, I found this studded deep v one on sale from Forever 21! Unfortunately it’s sold out now, I had to grab a large since it was only size left. I ended up having to alter and sew the whole thing to fit me the night before leaving! Anyways, I thought the skirt and the studded bodysuit were two very interesting and complimentary pieces to wear as an outfit. I sinched up my waist with a western concho belt and matched it with these western booties (which were way more comfortable than I thought they’d be)

Fun, sun, and PINK!!! My favorite things ever! I can’t believe I got to collaborate with Victoria’s Secret a second year in a row! (Find last years post here) I got to style their Light Lined Eyelash Lace Halter Bralette, which is their spring break essential piece this year! I got it in the burnt apple color, that doesn’t scream spring break, but it ended up being a gorgeous color under the sun. I styled it with some white shorts and a denim jacket for an all american feel.
When I got asked to collaborate with PINK, I was really excited (duh!) but I really wanted to take some fun and spring break-y photos and not repeat my shoot location as last year. I decided to just to so SoCal for a weekend and explore the beaches down there for the shoot! Super extra, right? It wasn’t that big of a deal since I have some friends down there I wanted to visit anyways. But, I had so much fun shooting these photos! SoCal just makes me really happy and the beaches are so lively. We explored Santa Monica Beach and Pier and found some awesome little spots to shoot by. Anyways, this is a set for the books, so I had to document this special trip and shoot. I’m honestly just a huge PINK lover, so please don’t mind my excitement over this collab!

Here comes the bride! Just kidding! The other week, I collaborated with a team of super awesome creatives to put together this fun styled wedding shoot! Huge thanks to Angela, the owner of wedding and party planning services, Perfectly Bubbly Events. It was so much fun pretending to be a bride for the afternoon in this gorgeous hand made Felicia Eve bridal gown. This dress is a TWO-PIECE! Yes, that’s right. There is a mini skirt dress underneath the maxi skirt! Such a great idea for any bride looking to wear a short dress during the reception, but still wearing the same dress from the ceremony. Plus, I love the asymmetrical cut of the skirt. It’s just absolutely stunning and such beautiful craftsmanship that went into this dress. I’ll let the the photos speak for themselves!
Some other creatives that helped style this shoot was Flower Story Gal, for my bouquet and flowers in my hair. While we’re talking about my hair, Susan, the owner of Jireh Artistry, did a natural dewey makeup look on me and did a curly updo! And last but not least, photography by Jecka & Co. Huge thanks and great job to everyone that helped with the shoot! Make sure to check out their work if you’re located in the Bay Area!
