Amphitrite – (n) Goddess of the Sea

I knew once I received this dress, I had to give it justice by wearing it somewhere just as beautiful as it is. This was my first time at Sutro Baths and Ocean Beach and let me tell you, it did not disappoint me. This is one of the prettiest beaches I’ve ever been to in the Bay Area. The sand was soft, the water was cool (obviously all Bay Area water is chilly), and the light was hitting it just right. Maybe I just caught it on a good day, but this beach seriously lands near the top of my list.

Let’s talk about my look! I wore this white maxi piece, which I’m sure you’ve seen everywhere. What I love so much about this is that it’s actually a romper, then has the white sheer skirt over. It has two slits on the side, which is means it’s an A+ piece for me!! This piece is just gorgeous combining the sheer lace and the deep V neckline. I love how this lace looks with the sheen of the sun. Find this dress from Azkara in white, black, and mustard . This With such a whimsical dress, I wore it with a handmade floral crown. The crown is gorgeous and full of blooms! I love having any sort of flower accessory when I’m shooting in nature. The crown is courtesy of Flower Story Gal.

Huge shoutout to Thea Lau, for shooting this gorgeous set!!

Stripes in San Francisco

I’ve been super MIA, but I’m finally back with blog post since school is over for the year. My summer goal is be more active on the blog (hopefully). Since it’s finally warming up, I couldn’t wait to wear my new summer pieces out.  I luckily caught San Francisco on a good day to go out on. Many people have perceptions that SF is always cold, but SF is seriously perfect during the summer (or at least you have to catch it on a good day). Here’s to hoping for more perfect city days spent eating brunch and walking around Pacific Heights!!

OUTFIT DETAILS I’m wearing this striped romper from Shop Priceless, which is soooo me because of the maxi skirt that’s attached to it. It definitely adds some drama to my outfit (a plus!!!!) It flows behind you while you walk, which definitely caught the attention of city bystanders. Stripes has definitely been growing on me this season since they’re literally everywhere. I styled it with a black hat, also from Shop Priceless. I’ve been super into this style of a hat, just for the thick circle brim! They’re just a little more retro, which I think goes well with the striped look. All my other hats have floppy brims so I’m really loving the thickness of this brim. For some shoes, I went with my favorite black ankle strap heels. Seriously, my go to for almost every outfit.

COACHELLA DAY 1

I’m sure all of you know by know that it was just Coachella szn. (if its not obvious enough from the million of social posts) I went to Wknd one and it was so much fun!! I am proudly a Coachella veteran since my first Coachella was last year. Coachella is honestly a marathon and it’s SO important to plan for it. I definitely learned a few tips on how to make the experience better. The time and preparation it takes to get ready is really overwhelming, but the buildup definitely adds to the excitement you get when you’re actually at the festival!!

I would totally write a whole post on my overall experience of Coachella, but it would honestly be sooooo long, so I’ll just talk about my outfit for Day 1! Coachella might as well be a fashion show, people are dressed up in their festival gear, girls put together the cutest outfits, and everyone just goes all out! I honestly love it.

Anyways back to talking about my outfit. I was highly inspired by all the sheer pieces trending, including sheer dresses and skirts. I love the idea of wearing pieces that aren’t everyday, so I leaned towards this daring outfit. Keywords that represent me: SLITS AND DEEP V NECKLINES! I looked everywhere online for some sort of sheer maxi skirt, but was having no luck finding one I loved. I ended up fashioning a sheer maxi dress and having it sewn into this skirt. It’s from the Coachella collection from H&M. I’d usually NEVER buy something made for Coachella to the festival, but it ended up being perfect! The fabric has really dainty and cute details throughout including lace and polka dots. I hit up my talented friend/fellow fashionista/awesome designer + sewer Amery (link to her Instagram!) to fashion the dress into this skirt with a high slit. For the bodysuit, I found this studded deep v one on sale from Forever 21! Unfortunately it’s sold out now, I had to grab a large since it was only size left. I ended up having to alter and sew the whole thing to fit me the night before leaving! Anyways, I thought the skirt and the studded bodysuit were two very interesting and complimentary pieces to wear as an outfit. I sinched up my waist with a western concho belt and matched it with these western booties (which were way more comfortable than I thought they’d be)
