To be honest, my least favorite season is Fall. I’m a true summer gal. I love bright colors, warm weather, the beach, the sun, and summer picnics. The weather at home has been fairly bizarre. One day it’ll be cold enough for some cute knee high socks and boots, then the next day it’ll hot enough for shorts and a tank. Contrary to the super bipolar weather, I made the time to spend a cool and crisp morning/afternoon to picnic!
One of my FAVORITE things to do is to picnic. Honestly, just laying out a cute blanket in a cute and quaint park with some awesome weather is PRIME. I usually only do picnics during the summer when the weather is most on point. I’ll leave a picture because I loved it so much! Anyways, I thought, why not do a Fall picnic among cool air and brown leaves before the weather freezes up. For our cute little morning, I subbed out summer colors for warmer ones. I love the reds, browns, oranges, and touches of gold throughout our set up.
We couldn’t help but add cute touches to our setup, while keeping the fall theme in mind. I’m loving the mix of sparkly and metallic pumpkins, the golden bouquet of flowers, the plaid patterns, and my Autumn Hillside Diamond Candle (that totally smells like it sounds). Not to mention spending quality time with cool people in a cute park and eating yummy food (thanks, Geremy for the nom mac and cheese). All of this wrapped into one afternoon is my definition of a perfect fall day.
I thought this outfit was perfect for a fall picnic day! The weather was actually on the warmer side, so I knew shorts were a must! I crossed out leggings, jeans, or any sort of pants immediately! I thought this creme sweater was perfect because it’s loosely knit so it’s sort of light. For my shoes, I knew immediately I wanted to bust out my boots. These are my go to boots for fall. They’re the perfect shade of brown, have a gold buckle, and hits just below my knee so cute socks like these burgundy ones can peep out. I’m probably going to wear more outfits like this for this season since weather doesn’t seem to be cooling down. However, that’s fine with me since I don’t particularly like bundling up for cold weather anyway!
Thanks Lauren and Geremy for coming with me!!
