Fit and Design Session @ Kit & Ace

A few week ago I was invited to Kit & Ace in Walnut Creek for a Fit and Design session. If you haven’t heard of Kit and Ace, you need to visit one of their stores. It’s honestly a great shopping experience, even if you don’t purchase anything. The Walnut Creek location is super bright in neutral tones throughout. There’s water or coffee to keep you refreshed while shopping. I loved the concept of the huge dinner table in the middle of the store for a family friendly feel. It’s kind of like you’re in a home. They have great attention to detail with the little touches of copper all around the store. The employees are all very kind, accommodating, and interactive (in a good way). They were so cool to talk to and shop with. I worked with Helen, who was totally awesome. She helped me pick out some goodies to try on and set up my dressing room for a Fit and Design session.

I’d describe the overall style of Kit & Ace as sleek, minimalistic, and super chic. The overall color scheme of the selection were monochromes, grays, and touches of light pink (love!). I loved the basics, which were sooooo soft and comfortable. I loved the dressier pieces like blouses and dresses just as much! The Just Flow With It Top, was a great balance of comfort with chic style.

My first impression of the clothes is that they are EXTREMELY soft! Helen explained to me that their fabric is called Technical Cashmere, a different kind of cashmere that is little easier to wash. The first top I tried on, the Kayla Tee, is my favorite. Like all the pieces in the store, it is so SOFT. I’ve honestly never worn a basic crew neck tee that is more perfect. It fits perfectly on my body and sits amazing on my hips. I got a size up for a looser fit (size 6), just meaning that it’s more comfortable now. It’s such a needed basic in everyone’s closet! I’d actually get this tee in every color. I love this tee so much, I had to take it home with me.

Like all the pieces, the clothing sits amazingly well on the body for the most flattering look. _71A0043
