So a few weekends ago, I planned a staycation at the Courtyard by Marriott Union Square. I live about an hour away from the city, so it’s the perfect distance for a staycation! I loved it because it’s located right next to Union Square, for those city downtown vibes! If you’re hungry, there’s an endless amount of options for you to choose from! Staycations are just so fun because you get to take a night off from your normal routine and it’s a good change of scenery, but not at the expense of traveling far. Plus, who doesn’t love exploring a new hotel and doing some fun sleepover activities with a bestie.
I found my way to their restaurant and bar located on the ground level, but behind it was a little lounge area open to guests with some patio furniture. If it wasn’t so cold out that day, it would be a fun and ideal spot to just hang out during a stay. It had a really cool ambiance since when you look up you can see the neighboring buildings towering next to the Marriott. There was also this really cool mural painted, Major city and urban vibes!
My room was located on the 15th floor and the view from my window was absolutely breathtaking! Plus, it looked ever more beautiful at night with the all lights shining! At night, I left the curtains open and just the light shine in. Sleeping in the city, while having a view like this could not be better. Like I said, I just spent the night in, eating pizza and ice cream with my besties, and watched some youtube videos (thanks to the complimentary wifi!)
Staycations aren’t complete without enjoying breakfast in bed. We ordered some pick up from a close by breakfast joint called Honey Honey. It was a convenient choice since it’s walking distance from the hotel, but there were a bunch places to choose from The downstairs restaurant, Table 761, thankfully had and some plates and utensils to use. Plus, there’s a Starbucks in there for those coffee lovers!
I honestly have no complaints about my staycation at the Courtyard Marriott! It was an amazing and enjoyable getaway, even for a quick night. There’s just something so fun about being somewhere else, especially somewhere and exciting as San Francisco! Whether you’re in the city to hang out or go out, this spot is pretty perfect for your stay.
Huge thank you to the Courtyard Marriott an Ghost Media for letting me stay!
