As we get into the colder months of the year, I’ve already said good bye to my summertime florals and maxis. This is a throwback shoot I did back in August with Thea during the hottest heat wave of the summer. I couldn’t let this beautiful set go to waste, so here’s a small feature on this gorgeous pink lace maxi romper from Love Verity. My previous blog post is on another set from them. Definitely hit their store up if you need any girly maxis! Yes, I’ve posted this dress before… wait two times… but that’s because I love the style so much! When I love something, I tend to buy it in multiple colors, haha. I’m sure I’m not the only one guilty of this. But seriously, this is definitely one my favorite styles I have. The lace is so elegant when I walk. Anyways, I have a growing pile of fall clothes in my room, so I’ll definitely be styling those soon! Although I’m not a fan of colder weather, I can’t wait to style some of my new pieces. Well, time to pack away my summer clothes! See ya in a few months!
I’ve always be obsessed with statement dresses and this dress is definitely not an exception. I recently picked up this dress in white, which I loved for it’s light, airy, and ethereal vibes. (Check out my previous blog post!) When I saw this dress in this mustard yellow, I was skeptical at first since I rarely sport yellow to contrast my warm skin tone. I’ve had my eye on this dress for a while, so I thought I’d take a risk on this lacey romper dress for the summer. And thankfully, it worked out! I loved shooting this at Stanford’s Cactus Garden (really hard to find the first time) which goes perfectly with the golden yellow. This location is such a hidden gem, I totally felt like I was in the desert! Plus the sunsetting gave us the perfect light the show the sheen through the lace skirt.
Here comes the bride! Just kidding! The other week, I collaborated with a team of super awesome creatives to put together this fun styled wedding shoot! Huge thanks to Angela, the owner of wedding and party planning services, Perfectly Bubbly Events. It was so much fun pretending to be a bride for the afternoon in this gorgeous hand made Felicia Eve bridal gown. This dress is a TWO-PIECE! Yes, that’s right. There is a mini skirt dress underneath the maxi skirt! Such a great idea for any bride looking to wear a short dress during the reception, but still wearing the same dress from the ceremony. Plus, I love the asymmetrical cut of the skirt. It’s just absolutely stunning and such beautiful craftsmanship that went into this dress. I’ll let the the photos speak for themselves!
Some other creatives that helped style this shoot was Flower Story Gal, for my bouquet and flowers in my hair. While we’re talking about my hair, Susan, the owner of Jireh Artistry, did a natural dewey makeup look on me and did a curly updo! And last but not least, photography by Jecka & Co. Huge thanks and great job to everyone that helped with the shoot! Make sure to check out their work if you’re located in the Bay Area!
