Summer Beauty

As we get into the colder months of the year, I’ve already said good bye to my summertime florals and maxis. This is a throwback shoot I did back in August with Thea during the hottest heat wave of the summer. I couldn’t let this beautiful set go to waste, so here’s a small feature on this gorgeous pink lace maxi romper from Love Verity. My previous blog post is on another set from them. Definitely hit their store up if you need any girly maxis! Yes, I’ve posted this dress before… wait two times… but that’s because I love the style so much! When I love something, I tend to buy it in multiple colors, haha. I’m sure I’m not the only one guilty of this. But seriously, this is definitely one my favorite styles I have. The lace is so elegant when I walk. Anyways, I have a growing pile of fall clothes in my room, so I’ll definitely be styling those soon! Although I’m not a fan of colder weather, I can’t wait to style some of my new pieces. Well, time to pack away my summer clothes! See ya in a few months!

Day Diary – Prom 2016

Last week, I went to prom! Just kidding, I was lucky enough to spend a day shooting for a Macy’s Prom look in San Francisco. I rarely ever get to explore the foggy city, so Geremy and I made a day out of it. We shot the prom dress at Legion of Honor Museum. The beautiful columns and natural light made it a perfect location. I actually had a lot of fun pretending like I was attending prom, which was one of my favorite high school events. My friend, Diane (this is her blog!), came over and did my makeup, since I’m basically helpless when it comes to anything makeup related. Bless her soul for helping create my faux prom look. I did my hair in curls the same way I always do and just pinned one side up. My prom dress was a beautiful midnight navy blue color with an embellished square neckline. I love the sweetheart neckline it created, super flattering. The dress is lace throughout and has some illusion detailing with the cutouts on the side. A gown is done right with a slit, and this one has one! Honestly, it’s a beautiful dress.

Geremy and I continued our day around the city. We found our way back to Ketsourine Macarons, our favorite little macaron shop in the bay. We love going back, the owners are literally the sweetest and so is Lexi, a fellow fashionista that works there! We grabbed a box of half of dozen macarons to go and I, of course, got my earl grey strawberry pomegranate drink. SO GOOD. It’s a must try.

Anyways, we were starving after a day of not eating, shooting, and exploring. We wanted to check out Straw. They were a food sponsor at my brunch with Ketsourine. I loved the little donut burgers and mac and cheese they provided, I wanted to check out their full menu and restaurant. But first, take an #ootd.

I’m wearing a new dress from OohLaLoft, a local boutique in Santa Rosa and Pateluma. This is one of my new favorite pieces for this spring. It’s white. It’s embroidered. It’s got cute cutouts and detailing. I usually like more fitted pieces, but I don’t mind the loose fit at all. It gives it more relaxed and bohemian feel. It was little windy that day, so I put on this army green lapel coat from SheInside. I honestly have so any different variations of this coat in different colors. I needed to throw in an army green one. The lapels drape super cool on. It gives any outfit a little more texture. My shoes are these nude lace up heels from Ami Clubwear. I’m an absolute sucker for nude lace ups and these were first on my to buy list. And let me tell you, they’re worth it. I’m so happy with these. The laser cut detailing is my fave, plus the lace ups tie up the leg . . . the perfect nude lace up.

After a little #ootd shoot, we finally go to Straw. It’s a cute and quaint little restaurant tucked away on Octavia Blvd. I love their carnival and circus-inspired vibe. We were seated in a up-cycled carnival ride booth, but it was really comfy with the cushions and pillows. Expect to be surprised with the unique menu of donut burgers (ordered it!), cotton candy shots, and rib sundaes. The donut burger was a bit heavy for me and I ended up eating half of it. It was really good, but a little too sweet for me. Other than that, definitely order their starter of Mac and Cheese, because it was BOMB. Straw is just a super cute restaurant that was worth the trip. The servers were all super friendly to talk to and the place had really relaxed and cool ambiance.

About a week ago, I hosted my very first blogger brunch at Ketsourine Macarons! It was so much fun planning and hosting this event for all the fashionistas and bloggers in the bay. I feel so fortunate that I get these opportunities to bring together some of my favorite fashion creatives! This was my first time hosting this type of event, so I had such an amazing time putting it together. It was such a dream! From the beginning works of brainstorming themes to the end of the brunch, I would do it all over again! I got to work with amazing people and brands like Ketsourine Macarons, Straw SF, Blue Line Pizza, Pale Petals, Rust and Thistle, and more! Their generous contributions helped me complete my perfect tea party brunch along with everything else that made it wonderful. With the help of sponsors, beautiful decorations, cute tea foods, fresh flower arrangements and crowns, and my tulle skirt, I’m not sure if I lived my 7 year old birthday party dream, my baby shower dream, my garden fairy bridal party dream, or my tea party brunch dream. Whichever it was, I definitely lived out a dream I’ve always had.
